Theodore M. Rowen

Ted was Law Clerk to the Honorable Don S. Young, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, Western Division, 1970-1972, before joining the firm in 1972. He has since focused his practice on commercial litigation, concentrating primarily in representing clients in federal court in the area of civil rights and employment discrimination defense. Ted also litigates on behalf of banks, school boards and other public entities. Ted has been elected by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Commercial Litigation for the year 2011. Ted has held this honor for over 25 years. Ted served as the firm's Managing Partner from 2001 through 2005. Since 2005, Ted has been named a Super Lawyer in Toledo for Commercial Litigation. He was chairman of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Screening Selection Committee for Bankruptcy Judges, 1999-2000. Member of Magistrate Judge Selection Panel for the Federal District Court, Northern District of Ohio, for 2010. He is also a life member of The Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference. Ted has been a member of the Toledo (Lucas County) Board of Health since 1996.
