David M. Smigelski

David joined Spengler Nathanson P.L.L. as an associate attorney in 2005. He practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment law and represents a large variety of public as well as private sector clients. David counsels employers in state and federal law compliance as well as employee relations. He handles employment-related litigation matters, grievance arbitrations, and contract negotiations. A native of the Toledo area, David attended Anthony Wayne Schools and graduated from St. John's High School in 1993.

• Advise public entities on matters involving employment relations and administration of collective bargaining.
• Grievance arbitration defense in matters pertaining to employee discipline, contract interpretation, and other labor issues.
• Counsel employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws.
